University of Zurich
Ayog is a PhD candidate, currently working on his research project focused on building adaptation and resilience in high mountain systems, with particular emphasis on integrating climate resilience into public investment frameworks to mitigate the social and economic impacts of disasters. His doctoral research centers on developing a multi-hazard risk assessment model and supporting the design of a multi-hazard early warning system for the Hindu Kush Himalaya region of Nepal. His research project contributes to providing essential scientific evidence for disaster risk reduction strategies, informing the design of structural interventions, early warning systems, and comprehensive risk management frameworks for one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable regions.
Prior to joining EClim, Ayog earned his degree from the University of Cambridge and worked at the science-policy interface with leading international organizations, including the United Nations and the World Bank Group. His experience spans in areas of risk, resilience, and sustainable development across diverse global contexts.
