PhD Opportunities in the Himalayas – ReCAP Project Now Recruiting

The ReCAP project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and supported by EClim researchers including Simon Allen, is offering an exciting PhD opportunity for two Nepali students at the Institute of Engineering (IoE), Tribhuvan University.

🧭 Focus
The selected candidates will support the development of a Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment Model and a Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS) for Nepal’s Koshi Province—a critical step toward strengthening disaster resilience in one of the most hazard-prone regions of the Himalayas.
